Art for the Fun of It
Our story started in a dining room covered in paint. My dad, Doug Sharpe, first began painting in his youth and returned to it after retiring simply because it brought him joy. Each year, the dining room becomes his studio and bold, expressive abstract work fills the house. As more people saw his paintings and asked if they could buy them, it felt natural to create a place to share his art.
That moment pulled me into the process. I learned how to print my dad’s paintings at the highest quality so we could offer proper fine art reproductions, and over time I began creating artwork of my own. Now our collection includes our original paintings, fine art prints, and my photography prints.
We focus on making pieces that feel full of colour, curiosity, and personality. Nothing in our studio needs to be serious or complicated. It simply needs to feel good in your space.
How It All Comes Together
Everything we make is produced under one roof, from the original canvases we paint to the museum-quality fine art prints we create right here in our studio.
Printmaking
All of our fine art prints and photography prints are produced in-house on professional-grade equipment and printed with premium pigment inks for exceptional colour, rich texture, and fade resistance for more than 100 years.
Fine art prints are made on museum-quality Hahnemühle matte paper and offered as limited editions of 30, each one hand-signed and numbered by Doug Sharpe. Once an edition sells out, it is never reproduced.
Photography prints are produced on archival glossy Hahnemühle baryta paper with vibrant colours, deep blacks, and a true optic white.
Both types of prints have hand-cut edges and are packed flat, never rolled, in reinforced mailers so they arrive ready to frame.
Original Paintings
Each original is a unique acrylic painting on cotton canvas, created by hand in our Montreal studio. Every painting is packaged in a reinforced box with acid-free paper and protective wrap to ensure it arrives safely at your door.
